TRON DAO hosted a panel discussion at Korea Blockchain Week 2026, focusing on the expansion of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) and their potential to democratize financial access globally. The event, held in Seoul on October 1, 2026, brought together industry leaders to explore how tokenization can break down geographical barriers to investment.

Sam Reynolds, TRON DAO Research Manager, moderated the panel titled “More Assets, More Geos: How RWAs Are Eating the World.” He was joined by Francesco Fabracci, Head of Tokenization Expansion at Tether; Chef Kids, CEO of Pancake Swap; and Brian Smith, President of the Jito Foundation. The discussion highlighted the current limitations imposed by geography on investment opportunities and envisioned a future where tokenization broadens access.

Reynolds emphasized that tokenization could significantly alter investment landscapes. “Where someone lives still determines much of what they can invest in. Tokenization has the potential to change that,” he stated. He further noted the existing demand for tokenized dollars, citing TRON’s role in hosting a substantial portion of the world’s USDT volume as evidence.

The panel explored how stablecoins provide a foundational element for this expansion. The conversation touched upon the practical challenges of making tokenized assets easily accessible and tradable across borders. Building sufficient liquidity and fostering investor confidence were identified as key to sustained adoption.

TRON DAO’s participation in Korea Blockchain Week, a major digital asset gathering hosted by FACTBLOCK from September 30 to October 1, 2026, underscored its commitment to promoting real-world blockchain applications. The event attracted founders, investors, institutions, and policymakers from across Asia.

The TRON blockchain, founded in September 2017 and launched in May 2018, has seen substantial growth. As of October 2026, it hosts over $94 billion in USDT stablecoin supply. TRONSCAN data indicates more than 406 million total user accounts, over 15 billion total transactions, and over $28 billion in total value locked (TVL) on the TRON blockchain.

TRON DAO aims to build upon the established familiarity of tokenized dollars to facilitate broader access to other financial assets. The organization positions TRON as a global settlement layer for stablecoin transactions and everyday purchases, with a mission of “Moving Trillions, Empowering Billions.”

The expansion of tokenized assets is a significant trend within the broader blockchain finance sector. Platforms are actively developing infrastructure to support this growth. For instance, Avalanche’s financial assets have surpassed $3 billion amid a surge in tokenization.

This development aligns with a projected acceleration in enterprise adoption of blockchain technology, with blockchain finance expected to reach $23.89 billion and enterprise adoption to hit $126.88 billion by 2032.

The push for tokenization also highlights the evolving nature of the crypto market, which is maturing towards mainstream financial use, as anticipated around September 2026. Furthermore, innovation in tokenization infrastructure is outpacing regulatory frameworks, with major platforms launching settlement systems.

TRON DAO’s initiative at Korea Blockchain Week reflects a wider industry effort to explore the practical applications of blockchain technology for financial markets. Discussions around RWAs are becoming increasingly central to the industry’s future, as seen at events like TOKEN2049, where investors engage with various conference claims.
